I have always wanted to see the Northern Lights and as I am approaching my 50th birthday I put it on the top of my '50 things to do before I'm 50' list. In March this year I was diagnosed with MS and whilst searching the MS Society website came across the opportunity to go dog sledding in the Arctic Circle. This seemed like a great opportunity to fulfil my ambition, raise funds for the MS Society and have fun! So, in the click of a button I had signed up and paid my deposit. Only the next morning did I realise the enormity of raising £4000!!
I hope you will be able to help me in raising money for this excellent cause. Please give as much as you can afford and don't forget to Gift aid your donation, am sure that fundraising will prove to be just as much as a challenge as the trip itself so I would value your words of encouragement and support so please leave a message!
Fundraising Update
The Charity ball in November raised over £1300 -many thanks to everyone who helped with the organisation, bought a ticket, donated a raffle prize and supported in so many ways. A big thank-you to Andrea Parkinson and Mary Mulverhill for coming up with the idea and their tireless enthusiasm in bringing it to fruition.
