The MS Society relies on voluntary income to provide vital services to those affected by multiple sclerosis. Both nationally & locally, through their branch network, the MS Society is constantly striving to improve the lives of people with MS and their friends & family.

What am I doing I hear you ask to make you kind people want to part with some of your hard earnt money?
Well..

On 25th July 2010 I am travelling to Zurich, Switzerland to participate in an event that I have wanted to do for many years. The event is a Triathlon. This comprises of a swim, cycle & finishes with a run of set distances.
Some of you who know me, already know that in the past 18 months I have competed in four 'Sprint' distance events. I have also competed in one 'Middle Distance, or Half Ironman' which was certainly more taxing. Having completed the latter I thought about challenging myself to the ultimate Triathlon Distance which is the full IRONMAN.
It is recorded that out of the tens of thousands of triathletes globally who participate in the many distances of triathlon, less than 2% of those ever undertake the IRONMAN challenge, and out of that 2% only 85-90% complete the task putting you amoung an elite group of athletes. I aim to hopefully join that group. In the process I would like to raise a little money to help those less fortunate than myself.
