9500 riders, closed roads, feeding stations and Mavic assistance, just like the real thing!
Thank you and congratulations to the 40 riders who cycled stage 17 of the Tour de France to raise money for the MS Society!
If you are interested in taking part in 2011 please email your name and address to fundraising@mssociety.org.uk and we will be in touch when registration opens in late October.
The 2010 Etape du Tour took place in the Pyrenees, and starting in Pau it covered 174km including three classic climbs;
- Col de Marie-Blanque (1,035m)
- Col du Soulor (1,474m)
- Col du Tourmalet (2,115m)
The registration fee was £100, and minimum sponsorship was £1600.
Q: I have my own place in this cycle and I would like to raise money for the MS Society. What should I do?
A: Congratulations on securing a place in the ride, and thank you for choosing to support the MS Society. As a cyclist with your own place you will receive the same support as a cyclist with one of our charity places, but there is no minimum sponsorship – just raise as much as you can! Simply email your name and address to fundraising@mssociety.org.uk and we will send you a fundraising pack.
